Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS)

At Eastwood Elementary School, we are proud to continue strengthening a positive and supportive school climate through our Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) program. This year, our school has been recognized as a Bronze PBIS Recipient, which reflects our staff and students’ commitment to creating a safe, respectful, and responsible learning environment for everyone.

As part of our ongoing PBIS efforts, we have introduced an updated Behavior Matrix that clearly teaches and reinforces our school expectations of Respect, Responsibility, and Safety across all school settings. 

To celebrate students who demonstrate these values, we are excited to introduce our Dolphin Dazzlers recognition program. Staff members can nominate students who are observed showing outstanding Respect, Responsibility, or Safety during the school day. Each nominated student is entered into a weekly drawing every Friday, giving them a chance to be recognized and celebrated by our school community.

Finally, we are so fortunate to partner with Strategic Kids, who visit our campus three days a week to lead engaging activities that promote teamwork, leadership, and a positive school culture. Through games, movement, and team-building experiences, Strategic Kids helps reinforce the same character traits and school expectations we value at Eastwood.
