Imagination Machine Brought Stories to Life

On Tuesday, April 12th Eastwood students saw their stories brought to life by the traveling actor troop called Imagination Machine. Students submitted stories and the company turned 8 of them into actual plays that were performed by the acting troop! Students were given "playwrite" status and an award at the end of the production. A huge thanks to PTA for funding the assembly!

Science Night at Eastwood

Our PTA and Dolphin Dads groups put on the annual "Science Night at Eastwood." Students and Parents were invited to participate in hands on science experiments that included activities around energy, force, motion and more! Families were invited to partake in the Super Mex food truck and raffles as well.

Kindergarten Registration Began February 3rd

Kindergarten Orientation took place on Wednesday, January 27th. Attached is the powerpoint giving you information regarding how to register your kindergartner at Eastwood. Registration formally begins on February 3rd. See the office for paperwork!

4th Graders to San Juan Mission, Lazy W Ranch

4th Graders from Eastwood School attended a field trip to the San Juan Capistrano Mission. They were able to see how the Native Americans were assimilated into Spanish Culture and heritage and took part in an extensive tour. After the tour they were taken to the Lazy W ranch where they spent the night, experienced early Native American activities, made their own corn tortillas, adobe blocks, and heard stories from the past!

Kindergarten "HAT PARADE"

Kindergarten students at Eastwood had a parade of "hats" today. The parade was a culmination of activities that included reading about hats, practicing the "at" family and talking about how to design the right hat for the right job! Great job kindergarten!

Pajama Day!

Eastwood Student Council's drive to increase school spirit continued with Pajama Day in January. Students and teachers were invited to wear their comfortable PJ's to school and show their Eastwood Spirit. Classes with the most students dressed in PJ's win the school spirit stick!
