Mrs. James, Eastwood Library Media Assistant, has opened up her Library every Thursday for students at Lunch so they may kick back and read their favorite book!
Food Services Department of the Westminster School District is celebrating national school lunch week with special events the week of October 12th - 16th. Click on the title for the link to the week's events. Special menu items are available throughout the week and their will be a special lunch lady serving food on October 15th. Hint, he has a beard!
All students at Eastwood now get to participate in Physical Education classes. Once a month for an hour, credentialed teachers come to our school and teach games, healthy living and smart choices.
Thanks to all involved for making our first Lunch on the Lawn of 2015-2016 a huge success. Parents came out and supported their children's educational experience by having lunch and hearing about their time at Eastwood. Look for our next Lunch on the Lawn in February.
Every year schools must post their Single Plan for Student Achievement. Eastwood's SPSA is available to view from the 2014-2015 School year. This year's will be available in the late fall/early spring.
Eastwood students and staff enjoyed Fountain Valley Skate Center's skating rink and amenities. Join us at our next skate party on December 9th!
Wednesday October 28th Eastwood School participated in the annual Tom Blankenship Memorial Jog A Thon to raise money for PTA and to also increase health awareness during our Red Ribbon Week. Over 500 students, parents and teachers ran for fun and also in memory of former Eastwood teacher Tom Blankenship. Fun was had by all and we were excited to participate!
